Look around and see the birds of the air; not one of them is concerned if they are good enough.

Hi, I’m Kristene DiMarco with Bethel Music and thank you for watching God Today. Sometimes it is the hardest thing in the world to trust God. Often times because we don’t see what He sees. I know that for me personally, I had a really hard time with worry, and worry just consumed my life. I would almost develop stories of things that hadn’t even happened yet. I would just worry about things that maybe never would take place. I remember standing in worship one day and just asking God: “God would you just please help me; please help me.”

And He spoke to my heart and He said, “Put your worries and your wonders to rest. I made you and I formed you from the dust. Look around and see the birds of the air; not one of them is concerned if they are good enough.”

I think many times in the Bible, God spoke, “Fear Not…” and He asked why are we so afraid? I think it’s funny because His perspective is so much bigger and sometimes, often, we can only see to the end of our noses. But we just need to ask, “God, will You give me the perspective You have? Will You give me an eternal perspective of the way things actually are?” Sometimes you have to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Let’s pray. “God we just ask that it would be easy today and tomorrow, to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We just ask for the ability to catch those thoughts, and catch those worries, and to place them before You and ask You if it is even valid. We just commit today to trust You before we trust anything else. In Jesus Name, Amen.
