I have come to the realization that when there is not a breakthrough in a situation, the problem is never on God’s end of the equation.

Hi, I am Bill Johnson from Bethel Church in Redding, California. Welcome to God Today. I love the opportunity to see God do things that no person could take credit for.  It’s really the miracle lifestyle. It’s foolish to be involved in a miracle and think you and I are the significant ones. Jesus is the significant One and every time we obey Him, every time we just do what He says, we hear what He is saying, we act upon His actions, we do what He is doing, we give the opportunity for God to display who He is right in front of our eyes and right in front of the eyes of people.

I really believe that part of what God has called us to do is to connect people around us to the God of the Impossible. I have come to the realization that when there is not a breakthrough in a situation, the problem is never on God’s end of the equation. It’s not because the redemptive work of Jesus was insufficient or inadequate. It wasn’t because the stripes He bore were not enough. He covered everything. So what can we learn from the lifestyle of Jesus?

He had an ear for the Father’s Voice. He had the heart to follow the Father’s actions. So what I encourage you to do, what I try to do in my own life, is when I am not getting breakthrough I back up and I take another look at the situation. How can I pray differently? What can I do differently? Is there an action that I am responsible for on my part? Is there something I can do to bring a breakthrough? Because we know it’s in God’s Heart. It’s “on earth as it is in Heaven”. Because of that, I owe it to people around me to take another look at the Will of God and see how I can be involved to bring that about.

So, let me pray. Father, give us a  wisdom and a grace, to discern when to change how we pray and when to change what we do, so we can see You glorified through breakthrough. I ask this in Jesus Name, Amen.
