The Last Days

Hi, this is Bill Vanderbush and welcome to GOD TV and God Today. What do you think of the last days? Think about those last days scriptures, the ones that, sometimes we just look at, that kind of freak us out a bit. I want to share with you a last days scripture that maybe you’ve never heard before. And I bet this one will give you some hope.

One of the craziest stories in the Bible is the story of Hosea. God tells Hosea, “Go take a wife.” And she’s got kind of a questionable reputation and kind of a rough occupation. And so he does, he marries this woman and they have some kids with some really depressing names. And he comes to the end of this whole thing and finally buys her back, and in doing so he catches God’s heart for His people. They had been unfaithful to Him, but He loves them anyway. The last part of Hosea chapter 3, there’s a fascinating little line in there and it talks about this. It says, “And a nation will come trembling to the Lord and His goodness in the last days.” A couple of verses before that it says, “I will pour out grace or I will pour out compassion on people who haven’t even earned it. And I will say to those who aren’t my people, you actually are my people. And a nation, Hosea 3:5, will come trembling to the Lord and His goodness in the last days.

Now, we know what it’s like to tremble at fear and judgment, pain, punishment, and torment. How about this? Have you ever thought about what it might be like to tremble at goodness? Not the kind of trembling that makes you run away from God, but the kind of trembling that actually makes you want to get closer to Him. That kind of goodness is what I’m talking about. And a nation come trembling to the goodness of the Lord in the last days. I have a question for you. What kind of goodness would God have to put on display to literally cause an entire nation to go weak in their knees, trembling at His goodness? That’s a last day promise that we actually haven’t seen happen yet. So if we haven’t seen it happen yet, that means it’s coming. So be looking for it. A revolution, a revival of the goodness of God to be manifest to actually cause nations to tremble.

I just speak that over you today. That the goodness of your father would be so manifest to you, that throughout the course of your day, you would find yourself just trembling at the love and the goodness and the grace of our amazing God. God bless you today.
