Welcome to God Today. My name is Terry Tyson. I’m with a new business called “Partneringwithfather.com”. Today we are looking at one of my favorite subjects. It’s “leaving the past so we can partner with our Father in the future”. When I grew up, as a young boy, I grew up on a ranch and my father would take me with him, as a small boy. We would get in the pickup and go out and check the cattle and feed the cattle. He would let me sit in his lap and hold the steering wheel with him and drive and let me think that I was really the one driving when it was him. And when we would get to the cattle he would leave me there holding onto the steering wheel, he had put the pickup into gear, and he would jump out. He would jump into the pickup while it was still moving, he would feed the cows. When he would get done doing that he would jump off the pickup, run back up, get in the pickup with me, take it out of gear, and then praise me for the great job that we had just done. That is just a neat picture of how Father partners with us. If you could just imagine that picture with you being the one holding the wheel and father partnering with you.
Let me pray and let’s ask him to let you drive to all the places in the future that you are supposed to go with Him. Father, I ask in Jesus’ name, that you would help every individual that is hearing this story. Step into their partnership with you, let them grab a hold of the wheel with you, realizing that you are with them, you’ve got them right on location and you’re navigating them through the difficulties and the good times. And you’re right there with them. Father, I ask that your presence would become real to each one that hears this encouragement. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
