I’m Dr. Bill Hamon. Welcome to God Today. We want to present to you truths that will transform your life. Jesus said, “you shall know the truth and the truth would make you free”. You know, I wrote a book called 70 Reasons for Speaking in Tongues and I want you to know you have your own built-in psychiatrist within you, you don’t have to go crazy. I mean, if you’ll just allow Him to pray through you and pray in you.
One of the psychiatrists during the charismatic movement that got baptized in the Holy Spirit and was speaking in tongues, researched 100 people that spoke in tongues. He analyzed himself, all different things, and he said this, “if I could get every one of my patients to pray 30 minutes in tongues, in the Spirit language, everyday, in 30 days they wouldn’t need me”. He said, “it’s like this, you pray from your subconscious, it prays out your traumas, it prays out your fears, it releases worship and praise that you can’t express with your own emotions, your own tongue”.
And I’ve got a demonstration. When I was a young boy at home, my brother and I’d go hunting over about 160 acres of woods. We didn’t take water because we knew there was a spring there that waters came up and continued about a gallon every minute. But, these old dumb dogs would get there ahead of us and they would jump in there. And they would get there feet in it, and trash, and sticks, and dog slobber and everything. And when we got there it was a mess. So, we just kicked those dogs away and sat down there and pushed the leaves and sticks away and actually, the water and mud cleared up. In about 5 minutes, it cleared up and we could stick our heads down there we could drink.
When you pray in the language of the Spirit it is like a spring of living water. Jesus said, “out of your innermost being will flow rivers of living water”. If you’ll pray 30 minutes in tongues every day, it will cleanse your soul, it will release your spirit, it will set you free. Out of the 70 Reasons for Speaking in Tongues, that is one of them that is very valuable. You have got your own psychiatrist, you don’t have to go crazy! You can rejoice in the Lord and keep a sane mind because God has given you a sound mind. Have no fear. God bless you. May you use your gift to the greatest good for God’s glory and your good.
