Intentions and Resources

Transcript

Hello, I’m Billy Epperhart with Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College and welcome to God Today.  You know, this morning I want to give you a quote, I’ve been sharing scripture, but I like this quote from Margaret Thatcher.  She said this, “No one would remember the good Samaritan if he only had good intentions – he had money was well.”  I think that’s true because so many times in the body of Christ we have good intentions to do what God told us to do, but because we don’t have the resources, we are unable to do that.

Deuteronomy chapter 8 tells us, “Remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth.”  Or another way you can look at that is, “the ability to create or to make wealth.”  You know, God doesn’t just drop money on our heads like ripe cherries of a tree.  God empowers us to be able to go out and as stewards be able to create what God wants us to have.  One of the things about creating wealth is this and about finance in our life, it’s not about hoarding it on ourselves, it’s about making a difference in other people’s lives with what God has blessed us with.  I like to call it “making sense of making money for making a difference”.

And so today, I want to encourage you, that God being now respecter of persons, He gives all of us equally the ability to be able to create wealth or the ability to make wealth in our lives.  So today you may be watching and you may have a financial need in your life or you may even be struggling financially where you are.  I want you to know: #1, God has not forgot about you, but also, not only has God not forgot about you, but God has given you the ability in your life to create or to make wealth.  And so today, let me pray for you, pray over your finances – I believe that God will bless the work of your hands.

Let’s pray together.  Father, I thank you today that you are reaching out to those that are watching right now and I thank you that you’re touching the work of their hands.  Lord, you are no respecter of persons so we thank you today that you empower your people to create or make well that every financial need is met and others through us can be blessed.  And we thank you for that, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
