Hey, I’m Joe Manno, pastor of Orlando Family Church in Orlando, Florida and welcome to God Today. You know, I just want to share something with you really quick about Jesus. Who is Jesus? I don’t get it. I want to follow the Lord. And I need directions, I need instructions and I need to know where I’m going. Well, let’s put it this way. God has a plan for your life before you were even born. “I know the plans I have for you – not to harm you – but to give you a hope and to give you a future.” And we try to figure out that future – God doesn’t want us to figure it out, He just wants us to hang with Him. So, He sent His Son.
Jesus came to earth for two reasons. If you ask people, especially Christians, “Why did Jesus come to earth?” “To save our souls.” Well, of course, He did. But, He came to earth to communicate with us. If He didn’t communicate with us we don’t understand anything, therefore we can’t even submit our soul unto salvation. When He came to earth to communicate, not just to get us saved but literally to walk this earth perfectly, flawlessly. One thousand can fall at our right side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it won’t come near us, not even our foot will hit a stone. And we’re looking for answers, but we should be looking for Jesus. He has the answers. He came to communicate, just submit to the word.
It’s really easy. If you put a cabinet together you read the instructions, put it together, and it stands. So, read the Bible and walk. Just get up and go. It’s like a little ant. It’s like you and I trying to communicate with ants – we can’t communicate with ants. God sent His son – let’s just use this metaphor – as an ant – to communicate with the other ants. That’s who we are. He guides us this way and that way. It’s our choice whether we choose to follow. Watch ants walk around – they work in perfect harmony. When we can move in perfect harmony with God, through His son Jesus Christ you will see and feel the power of the Holy Spirit watch your life begin to change – it’s absolutely amazing.
