Your problem may seem like a mountain to you, but to Him it’s just a cup of water.

Hello, I’m Ward Simpson, President and CEO of God TV.  Welcome to God Today. You know, the Bible says in Galatians 6, “Let us not become weary in doing good.  For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” I want to encourage you today.  Those of you who are thinking about giving up – do not give up. Let me tell you the story of Florence Chadwick.  Florence, unfortunately, gave up. She set out to swim from the Catalina Islands to the coast of California. She prepared so long, so many months for this swim.  Her team was there with her, the boat was alongside her. It was freezing temperature. Sharks were in the water, the fog was so thick she could hardly see her boat.  But, she set off to do this amazing feat. Unfortunately, Florence gave up only a half a mile away from her destination. If she had only known how close she was she would have never given up.

Friends, I want to encourage you the same way.  You are so close to what God has for you. You are so close to the destiny that He has prepared for you.  Don’t let the enemy stop you and don’t give up. The reporters asked her why did she give up. She said it wasn’t the freezing water, it wasn’t the fear of sharks, it wasn’t the exhaustion.  It was the fog.

Friends, I want you to know, sometimes the enemy comes and attacks us through the fog.  We can’t see. Maybe it’s a fog of fear, a fog of depression, a fog of anxiety. Whatever it is that the enemy is using to “fog” you, to stop you from seeing clearly.  I read the statistic that 7 blocks, 7 city blocks of fog is the same thing as just one cup of water. You see, to us, it is 7 blocks that we cannot see. But in reality, it is just one cup of water.  Friends, I don’t know what problem you are facing today and I don’t know why you are thinking about giving up. I want you to know, in God’s hands, your problem may seem like a mountain to you, but to Him, it’s just a cup of water.  Don’t give up, dear friends. Be encouraged today. God is with you, God is for you, God loves you, and God has a plan for your life. So don’t give up! But get on with what God has called you to be and to do today. In Jesus’ name.  God bless you.
