I realize that God has to take time to mold us from one way to another; to shape us just perfectly.

Hello, I’m Dennis Richardson.  I’m a businessman at a large hotel and in the ministry at my church.  Welcome to God Today. I want to talk to you today about process.  A few months ago they were building a gas station on the way to work.  I was really excited. It was a Racetrac gas station and I love their sundae bar.  I couldn’t wait for this place to open. Day after day I would drive by waiting to see a beam to go up or something showing that progress was being made.  Lo and behold there was just a mound of dirt. Each day this mound of dirt would move from one side of the plot to the other side. I started to think. When is this thing ever going to be done?  Then I realized this is a lot like God’s progress. In Jeremiah 29:11 God says, “I know the plans I have for you. Plans to give you hope and to prosper you.”

Often times I want to rush that process.  I want it to be done now, God. I want everything you promised me now.  I realize that God has to take time to mold us from one way to another. To shape us just perfectly.  Once He finishes that project, once that structure is built, it’s going to be beautiful and more than we ever envisioned.  I want to pray that if you’re going through a process right now that you have the patience that God works with you. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
