I really believe that healing will take place and joy will be distributed when you encourage yourself.

Hey, my friends.  Marcus Gill here of Marcus Gill International, based here in Myrtle Beach, SC.  I want to encourage you today to smile. There’s something special about you. Maybe perhaps you haven’t discovered all the amazing things that God has placed inside of you since birth.   One thing that I always say is that our birth was not a mistake. Our life has great purpose. It takes some time for us to discover our purpose

But, listen.  There is something amazing about your smile.  Often times we think that it’s something bizarre, something we have to work hard at in order to discover our purpose.  Perhaps your purpose is just as simple as you smiling today. Not only smiling at others to make others feel good, but have you taken time to smile at yourself?  I know that sounds strange, but it works for me. It works for so many.

There are times in our life where we get to our lowest point.  Maybe you’re at that point right now. Where you feel as if you can’t go any lower than where you are.  You’ve been waiting on a message like this to encourage you. You’re perhaps waiting for some good news to come.  You know what? Most folks will wait for the good news to come or till the perfect thing happens to them and then they will smile.   They’ll save their smile for a good moment. I want to encourage you to smile anyway. Have one of those “so what kind of smiles”. Where you say, “So what.  Somebody talked bad at me, I’m going to smile anyway”, “So what if I got laid off, I’m going to smile anyway”, “So what I may have an ache or pain in my physical body, but so what.  I’m going to smile. Why am I smiling? Because God loves me.”

Jesus said in the word, “Let your light so shine before men that they would see your good works and then glorify the Father who is in heaven.”  Guess who else needs to see your smile? You need to see it. Sometimes we have to be the shining light for ourselves. We can’t wait for others to shine for us and we can’t always look to shine for others.  There comes times in my life and there are days in my life where I have to get up and look at myself in the mirror and say, “Marcus, today is your day of victory, Marcus, today is your day to win, Marcus today is your day to stand.”   And I have to give myself a big smile. Why? Because I know God loves me and there are times in our lives where nobody else is around to encourage us and we have to encourage ourselves.

So, I’m giving you this word today.  Start your day off by encouraging yourself.  I pray throughout the day somebody will be around to encourage you or to give you a smile, or perhaps your smile will be used to encourage somebody else.  But, what if nobody comes to you and smiles? What if nobody comes to you with a word of encouragement? You must know how to encourage yourself. My prayer for you today is that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, not even the weapons that you form against yourself. But, you will bring joy to yourself.  Talk to yourself, speak life to yourself. Find a mirror, put your phone on selfie mode, take a picture of yourself, and make sure you show yourself your own big smile. I really believe that healing will take place and joy will be distributed when you encourage yourself. Love you so much.

Let me pray for you.  Father, I just thank you today for my dear friend who is believing you for the best, who is expecting a great day.  Father, I thank you that their smile is anointed, not only anointed to bring joy to others, but that smile is anointed that when they look at themselves in the mirror and smile they will feel your joy like never before.  Lord, we know that your joy is our strength and we receive that joy right now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
