Hi, I’m Jordan Morris with Together In The Harvest and this is God Today. I want to share very briefly with you today a topic that is often written about in many books. I know that Smith Wigglesworth wrote an incredible book on this, but I want to share with you about faith that can move mountains. If I can be very honest with you today, this is something that I have sort through in my life earnestly, but I’ve not always had. I’ve seen my family go through hardships. I have seen times where my father and my mother who mentored me most in my life, more than anybody else – they have been my heroes. But, I have watched as my father has contended at one point in my life and my mother was told she was going to die. There were times in my life I did not have faith that moved mountains. That is why I want to share with you today, something I think the body of life can live in and should live in.
One of my favorite scriptures is Mark 11:24. It says these words, “Therefore, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it shall be yours.” This gives me comfort today and often times in my humanity, I doubt what I know to be true. When I go to the word of God I have the assurance. Jesus said in His own words, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it shall be yours.” I love the words that Jesus said to Jairus when he found out that his daughter had died. He said two words and that was this, “Only believe.” There is a quote I love and I believe it comes from Bill Jones and he says these words, “I could choose to live a safe and reserved Christian life and people would call me wise, but I wouldn’t move many mountains.”
What am I telling you today? If there is a prodigal child in your family that it seems a far off cry to believe for that. If there is a sickness in your life and it looks like a mountain, Jesus has given us assurance that if we do have faith though it be the size of a mustard seed it can move mountains. My friend, today whatever you believe for and ask for in prayer, all you have to do in the words of Jesus is believe that you have received it and He told us and gave us the assurance from His words that we will never be shaken, it shall be yours. I am agreeing with you today as I have in my own life. Believe in your heart for that mountain to be moved and we will have faith that truly does move mountains.
Let me pray for you today. Father, I ask today for every blessed viewer of this broadcast. Lord, whatever situation they are facing in their life, whatever adversity, whatever mountain stands before them, I ask you today not form intellect or logic, or even theology. But, Lord, from your word I ask that faith will arise in their hearts through your Holy Spirit that can truly move mountains. Lord, whatever obstacle they are looking at today let them have the assurance in their heart that, Jesus, you told us whatever we ask for in prayer if we believed it, we received it, it shall be ours. Grant them unto that today I pray. In your holy precious name. Amen
