Shalom, I’m Wayne Hilsden and welcome to God Today. I’ve been serving in Israel for 34 years and what a privilege that has been. I want to share a few thoughts with you today. You remember when Jesus taught His disciples how to pray? Part of that prayer was, “Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.” You know, for the Lord to really have His Kingdom come, we have to really let our kingdom go.
He says in Matthew 6, near the end of that chapter, that we are to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all of these other things will be added unto us. We concentrate a lot on those other things. The things we think we need, but if we just kind of let go of those things and trust God and just be a good citizen under His kingship, amazing things would happen. If all of us would submit to His leadership, His Kingdom would come to Earth as it is in Heaven. In Heaven, everybody is bowing down to Him, everybody is serving Him – they are worshipping Him. He rules entirely over the heavens. What a glorious Heaven that is. Wouldn’t it be wonderful is Heaven would come down to Earth?
Scriptures tell us in Revelation that eventually Heaven will come down to Earth. The new Jerusalem will come out of Heaven, land on this planet, and this whole planet will be transformed. Why? Because we’ve submitted our will to His will. We’ve let our Kingdom go so that His Kingdom can come.
How much is He ruling your heart today? I want to pray with you that His rulership would be all encompassing in your life. It would cover every area of your life. Whether it is your marriage, if you’re married. Or if it is your schooling that you are doing right now. That you would be totally dependent upon God. Not upon yourself, upon your own ability to be in control and make things happen. I’m going to pray right now with you. Father, in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. We do say “thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”. Lord, forgive us for our control issues. Forgive us, Lord, for needing to be number one. Lord, may we submit to your life, your love, your kingship. We know that all these other things that we strive for will come to us if we seek first your Kingdom, if we seek your reign in our hearts. Help each and every one of us, Lord. Help me, Lord, to make you King. In Jesus’s name. Amen. Thanks for watching God Today, today.
