Hello, my name is Jack Sheffield, I’m with Deep RIver Ministries and welcome to God Today. I was at a service one day and a young man came up to me and tried to tell me his dream. I couldn’t understand what he was saying. At the end of the service – I had been preaching on the power of forgiveness – he came up to me and this is what he said, [Stuttering] “I think my problem started when my Daddy left me.” And I said, “When did your daddy leave you?” And he said, [Stuttering] “When I was two years old.” My wife looked at me and she said, “Jack, this young man never got his father’s blessing. Would you give him a blessing?” I know how to bless people, I have the best of blessings in my repertoire, so I walked up to him. The Holy Spirit tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Would you get out of the way? I want to touch this one.”
I opened my mouth and this is what came out, “Jason, you’re my son. You always have been my son. I bless you this day as your Father. And I pull back my bow and I send you forth into your destiny, and you’re going to hit the mark, Jason. For I, the Lord your God, am your Father. And I bless you with destiny this day.” He collapsed and fell on the floor, the intercessors started doing this [motions with hands], and I don’t know what that means, but I started doing it. And suddenly he came to himself, he was sobbing on the floor, and he came to himself, and I stood him up. He looked me right in the eyes, and perfectly in english, he said, “I want to thank you for praying for me.” And I said, “What did you say?” And He said, “I want to thank you for praying for me.” He was completely healed of stuttering for forgiving his father.
I want to tell you. Don’t hold bitterness in your heart. Don’t allow that poison to run through your system. Let it all go. Let it all go. The Heavenly Father will come and He will bless you and overwhelm you with His goodness and send you forth into your destiny. You’ll hit the mark too.
