Hi everybody, I’m Ron Cantor. I am the regional director for GOD TV in Israel. This is God Today. One of the things I try to do every day is to ask God to fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit. Not for my sake but for the sake of those who I meet – that He would use me in the gifts of the Spirit: healing, prophecy, word of wisdom, word of knowledge. I am always asking God to give me words of knowledge. It doesn’t happen that often, more it’s healing. I want words of knowledge. The Bible says to eagerly pursue spiritual gifts.
I have this running joke with God, “You have to give me words of knowledge!!” So, I am going to get coffee. I am in Colorado on vacation. I am driving and I am looking for a place to get coffee. I got redirected three times until I ended up in a drive-thru at Starbucks because that’s where God wanted me. You will understand that in a minute. I get in the drive-thru and As I am approaching the young lady who is going to hand me the coffee, I said, “Lord, give me a word of knowledge for her.” And you know what? He didn’t. Haha! He didn’t. I wanted it, He didn’t I said, “Alright, fine. Give me something to say to her.” When I got to the window and she handed me the coffee, I just looked at her and I said, “Have you ever wondered how much God loves you?” And she said, “Yup, sometimes. Yea.” And I said, “Have you ever felt the presence of God?” And she said, “No.” I said, “Give me your hand.” This is in the drive-thru. I said, “Give me your hand. Father, in the name of Jesus, let this young lady feel your love, your presence, your power.” I continued to pray and then I asked her, “Did you experience something?” And she said, “Yes, I did. That was great! You just made my day!” And I said, “Honey, I don’t want to just make your day. I want to make your life. I want you to go home and read the book of John and pray to Jesus.”
Hallelujah! Friends, God wants to use you like that, but you have to be proactive. You can’t just let these things come to you. That’s why God says to you, “Pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts.” God is the giver of gifts. He is the giver of love. It is on us to pursue it, to pray for it, to long for it, and expect it every single day of our lives. Start expecting it, my friend, and you will see miracles in your life. I am sure of it. Father, in the name of Yeshua, I just want to activate the gifts of the Spirit in my brother, in my sister, that they would look for those opportunities to share the good news.
