Walk hand in hand with the Lord, these changes are going to be exciting. It is an adventure to walk by the Holy Spirit

Shalom, I’m Wayne Hilsden and welcome to God Today. I have the privilege of serving in Israel for 34 years. I went to Israel from 1983 along until today, leading a ministry called King Of Kings. At first, it was a local congregation. Out of that local congregation were other congregations that were planted and then a Bible school and many other training centers. One of the things that was on my heart was that the Lord would allow us to be a catalyst for unity. I am in a new stage in my life, I am in transition. I have handed over the senior leadership to a younger man. Change isn’t always easy. Transition can be tough. You have never gone this way before.

I want to tell you that you may feel alone in your transition Maybe you are going through a change. Maybe you have just left university and now it is time to get a career and make that happen. Or maybe you are in a career and it isn’t really how you are wired. You need to move into something else now. That can be really nerve-racking. You can be full of anxiety. I want to tell you that if you are walking hand in hand with the Lord, no matter where he goes, and you are going with Him, you are safe in His hands. He loves you with an everlasting love. He will never leave you nor forsake you. I have found that in this transition, n these changes, a lot of the unknown in front of me, that I do know this: He is with me. His Holy Spirit dwells inside. When I get anxious I just say, “Lord, I don’t know what to do. But, I thank you that you know where you are going and I am just going to walk in step with you.” Sometimes He doesn’t reveal the five-year plan. He may even tell you just the next five hours what to do, but if you’ll walk hand in hand with the Lord, these changes are going to be exciting. It is an adventure to walk by the Holy Spirit.

I hope this is an inspiration to you today. I hope you won’t fear. I hope you will make your transition successfully. By putting your hand in the hand of the Man from Galilee. Let me pray with you. Father, we love you today and thank you that you did promise to be with us. Whether we are walking through the valley of the shadow of death or we are on a mountaintop peak, Lord, we thank you that we can always turn to you in every situation. When big change is happening, when we are transitioning – which is maybe one of the most anxious periods in our life – we know that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are the rock. When we are on the move, you are the one that stands firm, stands with us. We can be confident that these changes are good. For all things work together for good for those who love you, that are called according to your purpose.
