Hello, my name is Sonny Jaynes, I want to welcome you to God Today. I have been in the ministry for over 40 years. I would like to share, briefly, with you what God showed me concerning the reward of the faithful. I want to start by reading from 2 Timothy 2:1-3. “Now, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses are the same commit thou in faithful men. Who shall be able to teach others also. Now, therefore, endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
I believe Paul is telling Timothy how to select disciples. And He said, “Commit the things He is teaching to faithful men.” Who is the faithful man? A faithful man is one who is consistent in His service and worships God no matter what happens. If we run every time a hardship comes our way, or someone woulds our pride, then we are not faithful.
Friends, God uses faithful men. If you want to be used of God then you must be faithful to Him. If that is your desire today and you are struggling in some way with issues that hinder you, I want to pray for you right now. Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask you to give these folks that are listening, the power to become what you intend them to be. In Jesus’s name.
