Hello, I am Pastor Richard Summerlin with New Way Church in Palm Coast, Florida. Have you ever been in fear? No, no, really. Have you ever dealt with fear or had the grips of fear grab a hold of your life? I have. It is not fun. It is actually torment. It actually robs the life of you, squeezes, constricts and takes life form you. I have a word for you today. I have a word for you that is really going to help you.
In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Bible – God tells us that He has not given us a spirit of fear. Listen to that loud and clear. The spirit of fear that is on you is not from God. It is not being permitted by God or allowed by God. It is being allowed by us. That is not the spirit that we are of. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but listen to these last parts: but of power, love, and a sound-mind. That word “power” is so big my friend. It is not only the power we know or energy, but it also means authority. We have been given authority by God. Not only authority, not like something we use. We have been given the spirit of authority, the spirit of God energy to exercise and use it against fear. To command fear to go. This is a real thing.
I want you to look at and think about what it is that’s causing fear in your life. What it is that is tormenting you. Then I want you to take the scripture and I want you to get in deep into that spirit man, who you really are. I want you to begin to drive out that fear. Command it to go in Jesus’ name. You have a spirit for this! Don’t be afraid, don’t think, “Well, I can’t do it.” No no no. God has given you a spirit that’s not fearful, but it has power but has authority over the ungodly things that are causing fear in your very life right now. You can’t live that way anymore. You have to choose to be free today.
I am going to pray with you and I believe this thing is going to break forever. You’re not going to quit, you’re not going to give up, but you are going to get up and live strong for God. Heavenly Father, I pray right now for every person watching. Freedom, deliverance over this ungodly fear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. God bless you, you can do it.
