Shalom. My name is Avi Mizrachi I am a pastor for Jewish Ministry in downtown Tel Aviv, Israel. Welcome to God Today.
Today we would like to encourage you to celebrate with the nation of Israel – 70 years of existence. We just, recently, celebrated 70 years with big celebrations all over the city of Jerusalem. We also enjoyed the American embassy moving their embassy to Jerusalem. What does all this mean? Well, I believe as we look at the scriptures where God said, for example, Ezekiel 36, that because of our sins, the sin of the jewish people, He will take us to the nations, disperse us in all the diaspora. One day He is going to take us from all four corners of the earth back to the land.
This is amazing. For almost 2,000 years, we as a people, the people of Israel, we have been dispersed and the land was desolate, the language was forgotten. Here we are. After almost 2,000 years, we are back in the land. The desert blossoming. Can a nation be born in a day? The language revived – which is a total miracle of God. God also said in Ezekiel 36, that He is doing this for His holy name’s sake. To prove what? That God is a faithful God. What He promises He fulfills. He promised the jewish people the land of Israel as a covenant, as a promise, and He fulfilled it.
He does this for His holy name’s sake. His holy name’s sake. Why? To prove to the world that God is a faithful God. He keeps His covenant. He is using the people of Israel for that reason. To show the whole world that there is no other God, but the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is a faithful God to restore us spiritually. He said one day He would bring us and give us a new heart and a new spirit. Spiritually, His heart is that all Israel would be saved. I encourage you. Wherever you are as believers, pray for Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. God bless you. Shalom.
