Hi, I’m Russell Evans. Welcome to God Today. I am from Planet Shakers. I just want to share a few thoughts with you today. Psalm 23 is one of my favorite psalms in the scriptures. Not because is gets quoted at funerals to comfort people, but really this has so much meat in it that it can change your life if you understand what God is trying to say to us through this scripture. The bible says in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd.” I love that. The Lord is MY shepherd. He is your shepherd, but He is MY shepherd. The first place we need to understand our life, is we need to live in revelation that God is MY healer, MY deliverer, MY God, MY freedom, MY joy. You have a revelation. The bible says Peter was asked by Jesus, ‘“Who do people say that I am?” And He said, “You are the Christ! The son of the living God!” It was that revelation the church was built on. I want to encourage you – live a life of revelation.

Then it goes on and it says, “I shall not want or have any lack.” This next part is the part of realization. You realize, “If God is my shepherd, I now have His provision at my disposal. I am the son of God.” Or you might be a daughter God. You are an heir of God. As an heir you get an inheritance, you can have that inheritance today. I have children who are my heirs. They are inheriting everything I have right now. You see, you have to have a realization that you are a child of God. It goes on and says, “He makes me lie down in green pastures.” To lie down is to rest. It is a place. The word “pastures” is habitation or dwelling. We go from revelation to realization to habitation. God’s whole plan is to habit with us, be inhabit with us. He is here that we walk with Him and dwell with Him. He wants relationship with us. It is a place of habitation.

He goes on. “He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul.” So, I have revelation, now I have realization, now I am living in habitation. Now I am going through restoration. Such an amazing thought. He goes, He leads me through the path of righteousness for His namesake. The next part that encourages me is “glorification”. He wants to make His name great through my life and through your life. We have a revelation of Him. We have a realization He is on our side. As we come into habitation and restoration, now we are into glorification. We are now living in a place we have never lived before.

Then the bible says, “Walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil. Your rod and your staff they comfort me.” It goes on, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.” That’s a season of preparation. God is preparing me. Some of your enemies around you are just preparing you for breakthrough. Your setbacks are your set-ups. Your messes are your messages. God wants to use your life. He is preparing you for greatness. Instead of getting all worried about stuff, be prepared for blessing.

It goes on. “You anoint my head with oil.” That talked to me about amplification. What does that mean? His glory comes upon us and His anointing. He says, “Okay, I am going to amplify you. I am going to make your sound greater on this Earth.” This it goes, “My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” We go back to habitation. The whole reason God wants to bless you, is He wants to do life with you. He wants to inhabit your life. He wants to live with you. We have revelation, realization, habitation, restoration, we have glorification, preparation, and we have habitation. He wants to bless your life. Let me pray for you.

Father, today people are going through different parts of these seasons in life. I thank you that in every season you are there with us. I thank you in your preparation you are there with us. I thank you for realization that you are there with us. I thank you for revelation that you are for us. Bless your children, prosper your people. I thank you for your love and kindness. It is better than life itself. I am so glad you joined us at God Today. We love you, have a great week. I am Russell Evans and I want to shake the planet.
