Hi, I’m Jeffrey Levinson with God TV. Welcome to God Today. Today I would like to talk to you a little bit about destiny. My destiny, your destiny. I am going to give you a definition of destiny. “Destiny is a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible force or presence.” Or, “The hidden power of belief to control what will happen in the future or fate.” Let me give you a definition of fate, “Fate is a development of events beyond a person’s control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.”

In Jeremiah, the Bible says, “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘Plans to prosper you, not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.’” Before I came to know the Lord Jesus, my life would go on. I thought I controlled my future, I thought I controlled my destiny. SOmething wouldn’t go right with my relationship, and I would fall apart. Didn’t know where to turn – we have all gone through that. My job went south, I fell apart, didn’t know where to do that. I couldn’t get it right. I couldn’t put it on the tracks.

I found Jesus, and I have known Him for a long time now – give or take 20/25 years. You have all known Him, but maybe you are having trouble. We forget one of the important parts of a relationship with Jesus. “Lord, take control of my life.” When you asked Him into your heart you said, “Lord, take control of my life.” And then His steps are going to be ordered for you. He is going to order every step, upon step, upon step. If you just follow Him, you give Him the controls of your life, when you come into a situation even as you know Him – I have had situations that weren’t quite right. I didn’t think the door was opening, I didn’t think the door was closing. I didn’t know what to do. I took time with Jesus. I prayed, “Lord, show me, Lord help me, Lord guide me.” You know what came over me? A peace that surpasses all understanding. It is my destiny and my hope that is in Jesus.

Let me pray for you right now. Lord, I pray for whoever is watching this, Father. If they feel a little lost and haven’t sought you recently, something isn’t going right in their life, they would come to you. They would ask you, “Lord, help me, Lord calm me, Lord bless me.” They would find fulfillment and their destiny in you. Thank you, God. In Jesus’ name. Amen. I am Jeffrey Levinson. This is God Today.
