Hi, I’m Pastor Craig Walker. I am a Christian author and the lead pastor of Upward Church. I pray you are being blessed today. I pray this is a day of destiny for you when you are walking in the purposes of God.
I want us to go to the Word of God together this morning. Everyday, everyday we need a word from Heaven. We need the scriptures active and working in our life. The scripture I want to go to today is found in Zechariah 13:9. It says this, “I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call upon my name and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people.’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’”
Isn’t it interesting that God says, “These people, who are going through this fire, they are the ones I am going to save. These are my people.” They are going to be saying, “This is our God.” Often times, we make it sound like there is no fire, there is no trial for the believer. When we know that is not the case. You may be in that fire. I want to tell you, God is with you. God sees you. He has not abandoned you. There is a blessing in brokenness. There is a work of fire being worked in our life of trial. God says, “These are my people.”
Sometimes we would say those that pray a prayer and it is instantly answered, the ones who have no problems – they are God’s people. God says, “No, the ones who go through the fire. Those are my people.” You may be going through it today. I want to tell you, God’s word promises us that God does not willingly afflict the children of men. In other words, He doesn’t do it without purpose. He doesn’t allow it, I should say, without purpose. He is allowing His purposes to be work in your life. Look to Him today. Don’t give up hope, dear friend. God is making you a vessel of honor, a vessel. Fine china. That is what He is making out of you when you are going through it. Let’s ask God to give us the strength to shine even in the midst of times of hardship. Shine for Him.
Father, I pray for everyone hearing my voice. I ask you, Lord, to encourage that one Lord that has been at it awhile, they have been waiting on this answer, Lord. Would you rush to their side? May they feel the Holy Spirit, even as I pray. Emmanuel, God with them, come along side of them and Lord, quickly do the work you are doing in their life. Expedite the process, I pray, if possible, Lord. Make us fine china for your use and your purposes. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen. I’m Craig Walker – that’s God Today.
