Hi, I am Chantell Cooley, co-founder of Columbia Southern University and Chantell Cooley Ministries.  Welcome to God Today. Today I want to talk to you about the process of life. This is something i constantly reflect on.  I love the story of Joseph – I even mentor on Joseph to leaders in the marketplace. You can just fit your life into what he has done and of course, the outcome is incredible – if we stay in the process.

Joseph had a dream – he was a young boy.  He thought he should tell everybody he was going to rule over his family.  It was not something wise to do at that time, it may have made me mad too. His brothers hated him and threw him in the pit to die.  He was eventually sold into slavery and ended up in Potiphar’s house. He did really well, he turned whatever he was in to good. He made it right.  Before long, Potiphar’s wife seduced him. He ran off and left his coat in her hands and it had looked like he did it. He was accused, again, of doing something he did not do.  I am sure some of you had felt that way. He kept moving forward, now he is in prison. What does he do? He makes the best out of it. He is sweeping it clean, he has Bible studies, he is mentoring people.  He is becoming who he is supposed to be.

A lot of times, we are in the process of life and we are working out our characteristics, who we are, we are getting humbled.  We are really understanding who we are. God may have given us that word, but it isn’t coming to pass. You have to think. You have to think, “I don’t think God is going to put me into that position until I am ready.  There are some things I need to learn and go through.” For me, personally, I had to move my way up on the corporate ladder. I went from every position, I did jobs I didn’t like. Paper work, ugh. I don’t like paperwork, but I got really good at it and blew it out of the water.  I made it right.

I love the old saying, I know it is old, but it says, “Bloom where you are planted.”  It is really true. Do the best at where you are. Of course, Joseph is now mentoring people, he is mentoring Pharaoh’s servants that are in prison. He interpreted dreams.  He said, “Hey, when you get out would you remember me?” Do you think they remembered him? They forgot him. How many times has that happened to you? You pushed somebody forward, opened doors for them and you are forgotten.  Don’t be upset. Just keep focusing on God and what He has called you to do. In due time you will reap your harvest.

I don’t know how long it was, but Joseph eventually got called out to interpret dreams of Pharaoh’s.  He hit it right on. See, he had been making good wherever he was he made it the best. He was ready for such a time as this.  Of course, he was number two in the nation and he prospered. Everything worked out according to God’s plan.

I bet you can relate to this just as I do.  You might be stuck in the middle and you’re discouraged.  You know what you are supposed to do, you know where you are supposed to be, but it is no where close.  Keep focusing. Do excellent at where you are. I can guarantee it will open doors for you. Not just one door, double, and triple doors.  I want to pray over you. Father, I thank you right in the name of Jesus, right where these people are. You are sitting there on the couch and you are just discouraged.  Maybe you are driving and you are like, “Gosh, I just need something to breakthrough.” I command breakthroughs over your lives. I bond the spirit of poverty from your life.  I thank you, God, for dreams and visions beginning to open up. Favor knocks you down, it takes you to the next level in the name of Jesus. We break every assignment assigned against you, the bondages and chains that have helpd you bacl, that you can only go so far.  My God wants to take you further, can you believe that? Father, we pronounce success upon them. They are blessed always. Blessed going in and blessed going out. In Jesus’ name, amen. I am Chantell Cooley and this is God Today.
