Hi, I’m Pastor Craig Walker. I am the lead Pastor of Upward Church and I want to welcome you to God Today. I want to pray that you are blessed, your socks are blessed off this day. I want to pray that this is just one of those days where everything goes right and God blesses you in so many ways.
I want us to go to the word of God. I want to give you scripture to encourage you today. It is found in 2 Peter 1:3 and it says this, “By His divine power.” Think about that power. “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called Him to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.” Man, if I could hashtag this, I would hashtag it #noexcuses, #everythingweneed, #forlivingagodlylife, #byhisdivinepower.
Listen, friend. Today, everything you need, God has provided for you to live a godly life. For me to live a godly life. For me to walk out into a world that needs the light of Jesus shining through me, broken, fallen humanity. But, by His divine power, He gives us everything we need to live a godly life so that Jesus no longer see us, but they see Jesus.
Friend, Jesus is the answer. For you that are struggling. You say, “Man, it doesn’t feel like I have everything I need.” By His divine power, go to the word of God today. By His divine power, He has given you everything you need. Trust Him even in the darkness. Those lights are going to come on again. Heaven won’t always be silent. You’re going to hear His voice again, He is going to come through.
I want to pray for you today. Father, I pray we would walk in this divine power. Not in our own strength, not in our own ability, but by your divine power. By your excellency. We would live that life that pleases you, that we would shine as it’s been said, “Share the gospel, and if necessary use words.” By our lives, Lord, we would share Jesus. Everyone, hearing my voice, in Jesus’ name. Amen. I am Pastor Craig Walker and that is God Today.
