Hi, my name is Poncho Lowder I’m an author and the lead pastor of Planetshakers Church in Austin, Texas. I want to welcome you to God Today. I want to share with you on the topic, today, of the power of joy. You carry the power to shift environments, today. God wants you to be an agent of change everywhere you’re going. The Bible says this, “the joy of the Lord is our strength”. When we know where our strength comes from we can walk into broken situations, challenging situations, and we can shift the environment.
James says it this way: he says, “Consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds. Because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance and perseverance must finish its work in order for you to be mature, and complete, and not lacking anything.” In other words, when we know the power of joy, we can walk into tough situations at work, we can walk into challenging relational situations, financial situations, whatever it may be, and shift the atmosphere.
So, I want to pray for you today, that whatever you’re going into, whatever you’re going through today, that you’ll find the joy of your Lord to be your strength. You carry they keys to joy in your day today.
So, Father, I pray for every person listening to my voice today. I pray the joy of the Lord would be their strength, God. That every challenge, every obstacle, every situation they’re facing today, your joy would overcome that situation. Lord, and that you would bless them today and be with them in everything they do.
