Hi, I am Rob Mallan from Reliant Family Church in Tampa, Florida. Welcome to God Today. Today I want to, hopefully, encourage you in an area in every one of our lives that we can all increase. It is in our thinking. The Bible says in Proverbs, “As a man or a woman thinks in their heart, so is he or she.” We really determine our outcomes, our future, our destiny, what we receive in life, by the way we think. You are what you think you are. You can be whatever you think you can be – or not. Our God can be as big as we want Him to be or as small as we want Him to be.
So often people minimize God. FUnny how David sais, “Come magnify the Lord with me. Let us exalt His name forever.” He didn’t say, “Let’s minimize His name. Let’s minimize the Lord.” No. “Let’s magnify the Lord.” Why would you magnify the Lord? When you magnify the Lord, you make Him bigger, you make Him larger than your situation. You make Him larger than what you are dealing with. When you make God big, your problem is minimized, your situation is minimized. God wants to think big.
Ephesians says this, in 3:20, “Now unto Him that is able to do [what] exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think, according to His power that is working in you.” God wants to do more in you than what you realize. I love this scripture in Matthew 19:26. It says this, “With God.” With God. Without God some things are possible, but “with God all things are possible.” God has a bigger vision for you than you realize. The way we get into that bigger vision is staying connected to a bigger God and understanding how He works, how He functions, how He operates in our lives God wants to do big things in your life. He wants to be big in your finances, He wants to be big in your health, He wants to be big in your family, He wants to be big in your church, big in your business, He wants to be big in your walk. He wants to be big in your soul winning? God wants to be big. Let’s not minimize His abilities. Let’s magnify His abilities. Let’s realize that His ability is powerful when it is working in and through us.
What do you need God to do today? Something big? Maybe you are facing cancer. Maybe you are facing foreclosure. Maybe you need a breakthrough today. Maybe you need funds right now. Let me tell you something. You serve a big God that is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that you can ask or think according to His power that is working in you. Here is the thing about thinking big. When you are thinking big in God, you are not alone. You are thinking with God, you are thinking His thoughts, you are thinking His ways. The Bible says, “My ways are higher than your ways. Are bigger than your ways. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, bigger than your thoughts.” What do we do? The Bible says in the New Testament that we have the mind of Christ. We can understand God, we can think like God.
God wants you to think just like Him. Right now, you might be in a confined situation. You might feel like the walls are crushing in. That’s why we need God’s thoughts. When God’s thoughts kick in in our life, we begin to get space. The word says to “stretch forth those tent stakes.” To make space, to make room so we can grow. Are we thinking big or are we thinking small? You are able to do everything, anything God tells you to do. I am a big thinker, and I can tell you right now, I have watched God supernaturally over, and over, and over again, infiltrate my life, infiltrate my situation and do big things. God has a big blessing in His mind for you. I don’t know what you are dealing with right now, but I want to stretch you today. I want to encourage you today to think bigger, think outside the box. Realize God is bigger than your situation. If that is you, why don’t you just pray with me for just a moment. Father, I thank you for those that are watching right now. Those that are feeling challenged right now, Father, you are bigger than any situation. You are bigger than any problem. We speak the word, we can move mountains with our faith. We love you and we thank you God for being big in our lives. In Jesus’ name.
