Hi, my name is Poncho Lowder. I am an author and lead pastor at Planetshakers Church in Austin, TX, and I want to welcome you to God Today. I want to speak to you on the topic of finding purpose in your pain. All of us face different challenges in life and the Bible tells us this: that God can turn our pain into a purpose. It says, “God can work all things together for the good for those who love Him”. You know, you might be going through tough situations right now, but God can give purpose to your pain.
The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1-2, it says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” God has a race marked out for you. It goes on to say this: that we should “fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross in spite of its pain”, and it says, “He sat down at the right hand of God”. And it goes on to say this, “Consider Him [Him being Jesus] who endured such opposition from sinners and so much pain so that you will not grow weary and lose heart”.
Today, I don’t know what situation you’re going through, but I’m sure there’s pain in your life, maybe it’s a relationship, maybe it’s finances, maybe it’s a work situation. I want to tell you, you can find purpose in your pain because God can work all things together for the good for those who love Him. So, I want to encourage you right now to stir your faith and believe, “Today is going to be awesome! In spite of my pain, I serve a God that’s greater than that.”
So, I want to pray for you and believe for a great day. Father, I pray for everyone listening to my voice right now. Lord, I pray they would find purpose in their pain. God, they would learn to turn bad situations into anointed moments, God, moments of sharing your love and grace with people around them. God, you can work all things together for the good for those who love you. So, we pray a blessing over their lives, be with them. We pray in the might name of Jesus, Amen. Have a blessed day.
