Hi friend, my name is Lydia Marrow, and I serve at Shake The Nations Ministries and I  want to welcome you to this edition of God Today. It is my joy to work with GOD TV for this.  We want to bring this devotion to you just to bless your heart.

Listen, Paul in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 20 said, “For as many as are the promises of God in Him they are ‘yes’.  And, therefore, also through Him is our ‘amen’ to the glory of God through us.”

You know, God has made some awesome, extravagant promises in His word.  I mean He has promised us amazing things, but so often we like to attribute those promises for somebody else’s life.  We believe that healing is in the Bible, that it’s a promise of God. And it’s easy for us to believe for our grandmother, or our husband, or our child, but we fail to appropriate the promise of God for ourselves.

We believe God is a provider, but we want to believe Him for somebody else.  We believe that household salvation is the promise of Acts chapter 16, but we want to believe it for somebody else.  That’s so easy to do. Sometimes it’s easy to have faith for somebody else, but it takes great old faith to appropriate what God has said for our own lives.

I want to encourage you today, friend.  God loves you individually as much as He loves anybody in this whole wide world.  You don’t have to be in the ministry, you don’t have to be a preacher, you don’t have to be a worship leader.  Friend, He loves you right now and the promises that He’s made to His children in the word of God, they’re not just for somebody else, they’re for you right now.

So, I want to encourage you.  Stretch out your faith. I want you to look at the promises of the word once again and I want you to believe and step out in boldness and courage for your own life.

Come on, let’s pray right now. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you that you are a good father, that you’ve made great promises to your children. And right now, we lay hold of those things right now, everything that your word has said about us we believe it, we say “amen” to it, because we know you’ve already said “yes” to it.  So, we stand in faith and boldness, for healing for our bodies, for household salvation, for miracles, signs, and wonders. Because we are your children and we receive what you’ve already given. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We love you, friend.  God bless you and we’ll see you next time.
