Believe He is able. The same resurrection power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead still flows today.

Hi, I am Jennifer Mallan from Reliant Family Church in Tampa, Florida.  Welcome to God Today. Listen, some of you might be walking through a battle with illness, with health, with your body, or from someone you love very much.  I am right in the middle of that. I am right in the thick of it. I just want to encourage you today. I want to remind you that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever more.  He changes not.

Two weeks ago, my mom had pneumonia.  We went to the hospital and she began to decline very quickly.  She was having a difficult time breathing. Three days into it, when she should have been discharged, we were making the decision to put her on life support.  When she went on life support she was not conscious. They took all sedation off, but she did not wake up. So, we went through day 4, day 5, day 6, day 7, day 8, day 9, day 10, day 11, day 12, day 13.  Way past the protocol. Every specialist had been called in, every doctor had been called in, every lab, every test. It looked bleak.

What do we do when life looks bleak?  What do we do when our faith is being tested?  What do we do when we believe the Word of God? We believe in Isaiah 53:4-5.  That He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.  The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we were healed. We are healed.  But, we are not singing it. I went into the corner many times saying, “Lord, is it her time? Lord, do I fight for her with my faith?  Lord, do I let her go? Lord, her times are in your hands.” And maybe you are there. You don’t know what to do.

There wasn’t any living will, so as I the next of kin, am seeking the Lord.  What are the right decisions? Listen. Doctors come and I love doctors. They serve a purpose, but they come and they tell you the academic protocol.  They tell you what the law wants you to do. Hospice came in, nurses came in. It was bleak so we finally got to the crossroad where we said, “Go ahead,” on day 13, “And remove the life support.  Go ahead and let’s see what happens. Sign the Do Not Resuscitate. Sign the Comfort Measures. I want to tell you – God is faithful.

Listen, Matthew 19:26 says, “With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  God is the God that still does impossible things. He spoke to me, He said, “Jen, look at the word impossible.  It means I AM POSSIBLE. I AM POSSIBLE. Not the doctors, not the nurses, not the protocol. I am possible. In this situation, watch me work.  Watch me move.” Everything came out. She opened her eyes. She began to respond. She began to breathe. She began to nod. She began to recognize.

Listen, we are so blessed.  I don’t know where you are, but put your hope and faith and trust in the Lord.  Believe He is able. The same resurrection power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead still flows today.  In your body, in your mental state, in your emotions, in your health, in your family’s health. God is able.  God is able to call those things that are not as though they were. The doctors came in the next morning, the nurses came in.  Sometimes they don’t want to say it’s a miracle. I understand. But, you know what they did say? Four times: “This is a lesson in humility.”  Humility, humility, humility. But, listen. God is being glorified, God is being lifted up. Jesus is being – this is what He does. Listen, more and more He still wants to work.  He still wants to work signs, miracles, and wonders like He did in the book of Acts – The book of Action, the book of Activation.

I pray today that your faith will be activated.  Father, I pray you would activate my brother, activate my sister, activate the Word of God in them.  Let it rise up in them richly. Let them believe – quicken the Word in them. I thank you that miracles are for them today in their situation.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
