The Bible teaches that Jesus, when He was hanging on the cross, He said, “It is finished.” He accomplished what God sent Him to do. Now, the New Testament, Hebrews 10, shows that He is seated at the Father’s right hand. God, the Father, is not saving people, He is not healing people, He is not delivering people today. He already did it 2,000 years ago. If you need to be saved, you don’t have to say, “Oh God, I am asking you to come and die for me and forgive my sins.” He has already done it. His payment has already been made. It is not a question of, “Will God do it?” It is a question of, “Will you receive it?” It is not God’s “giver” that is broken, it is our “receiver” that is broken.
This is a paradigm shift. Most people don’t understand this. They approach God like, “Oh God, I am asking you to heal me.” But, the Bible clearly says in 1 Peter 2:24, “By His stripes, we WERE healed.” It puts it into the past tense. Jesus isn’t healing people today. People are receiving what Jesus did 2,000 years ago. It has already been accomplished. It is already done. It is not God who needs to heal, it is us that need to receive.
It is very similar to television and radio signals. When you take a TV set and when you plug it in, and then turn it on, and then tune it into a station, it is not when that station starts broadcasting. That station is broadcasting 24/7. It is going all the time. You only receive when you turn on that set and tune it in. It is the same. God is always releasing His power. God is always releasing love, joy, peace, healing, deliverance, salvation. Anything that you need, it has already been accomplished and it is being broadcast 24/7.
We aren’t always receiving. I tell you, this would totally change the way you receive from God if you could get hold of this – God has already done His part. It is not a matter of, “Will God heal you?” God has put His supernatural, raising from the dead power on the inside of you. You don’t need to ask God to heal you. What you need to do is believe what the Word says: “By His stripes, we were healed.” Then you need to take your authority and speak to your problem, not talk to God about your problem. Speak to your problem about God. Say, “Sickness, disease, poverty,” whatever it is you are dealing with, “I command you to leave my life and get out. I have already got it. God has already released His power. He has put it under my control, under my command, and I am now commanding and releasing this power.”
I know that sounds offensive to some people. But, Isaiah 45:11 says, “Concerning the works of my hands, command you need.” God told us to command Him. Not command Him in the sense that we are the source. It is like electricity. If you want electricity to come on, you don’t call the electric company and say, “Please, turn on my electricity.” No. They generate the power, but then they put it at your command. They aren’t going to come out to your house and flip the switch, you have to command it. You have to turn it on. You aren’t the source. You could put a light bulb in your mouth and it will never come on. You are not the power source, but when you get electricity delivered into your house, you have to command it. In that sense, God is the source of the power, but He has put this power in us. We already have it and it is up to us to flip the switch by speaking to our problem and commanding the things to happen.
