Hello, I am Ryan Bruss with Revive International and welcome to God Today.  Today I want to tell you about one of the greatest secrets of life. It is learning to experience God in the mundaneness of life.  You know life is not made up of mountaintop experience to mountaintop experience – though we like to think it is like that. That’s not the way it is.  Life does not consist of one conference to the next. We are not supposed to be living from one church service to the next. Every day we have bills to pay, lawns to mow, cars to drive, kids to get dressed, and go to school.

What happens is, I find people don’t know how to invite God into those mundane areas of life.  One of the greatest secrets of King David’s life is that he was able to experience God whether he was with his sheep, or with his army.  He learned how to experience God in every area and every season of his life.

The Bible says in Ephesians 3:20, “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”  I want you to understand that God wants to be invited into your life when you mow the lawn. God wants to be invited into your life as you do the dishes. One of the greatest books ever written is by Brother Lawrence, Practicing The Presence Of God.  God wants to fill you to overflowing in every little thing you do.  Not just the big meetings, not just the big conferences. I don’t know about you, but I want God Monday morning just as much as I had Him at the church service on Sunday.  I want Him to fill me. I don’t want to have bad Mondays or bad Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I don’t want to live like a rollercoaster Christian. I want to go after God and feel His presence.  What you have to do today is wherever you are, whatever you are doing, invite Him into your car as you go to work. Invite Him as you are doing the dishes, as you are doing the mundane chores around the house.  Say, “Holy Spirit fill me. Fill me up.” As you are vacuuming the floor, “Fill me, Lord.”

Do you know what will begin to happen?  You will begin to experience God in all these little places.  Next thing you know, you are enjoying life more because you are enjoying God more.  That’s how it works. We don’t enjoy life and then we enjoy God. No. We enjoy God and then we enjoy life.  It comes out of those moments,

Life is made up of thousands and thousands of ordinary moments.  That is where I want you to invite God today – into the ordinary moments of life.  Father, in Jesus’ name today, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I want you to be filled with God.  Wherever you are listening to this, wherever you are watching this. Whatever you have planned for today, I want to challenge you to invite God. Lord, I pray you fill them up.  I see somebody as you are doing a chore in the kitchen, I see you bubbling over with joy today, because the joy, Lord hits you. Because you are inviting God as you are making your meal for your family.  And Lord, I pray they have a revelation that wherever they go and whatever they do today, that they would be so filled with the presence of God in the mundaneness of life, in the ordinary moments of God. I hear the word of the Lord say, “If you invite me into the ordinary moments of life, I will make your life extraordinary.”

Father, we release that.  We release wonders, signs, and miracles, dreams, and visions over your life today.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
