You haven’t gone too far. You can never do something that is worse than God’s love and God’s grace.

Hello, I am Pastor Richard Summerlin of New Way Church in Palm Coast, Florida.  Welcome to God Today. I want to take a moment and talk to you about the subject of the Prodigal Son.  You don’t have to be just a son to be a prodigal. I want to tell you, there are people who have left. They have left the Church, they have left the Body of Christ.  I believe you have done it in error. I am not saying you didn’t have a valid reason. I know there are some tough people in the Church. Some people that even seem, sometimes, that they run us off or don’t want you around.  You know, this is a touchy subject and I want to talk to your heart today. Maybe that’s you. Maybe you left. Maybe there was a valid offense. I don’t know. Maybe You just got an itch to go see the world or something else. But, God loves you.

I believe you are at a point in your life where you know you need to come back.  I believe as a prodigal, we are not bad people. I have been there. Sometimes we get to a place where we start thinking, “I need to come back. I know I need to go back. But, can I come back?” I think that is a valid question today. Will the Church receive me?

I’ll tell you this.  There are some great pastors, great churches, great believers all over this world.  There are people, right now, praying for you. There are people right now that, when you decide to come home, I believe they are going to come down the driveways of their homes, of their churches, with open arms, ready to receive you.

Don’t let the devil lie to you anymore. You haven’t gone too far. You can never do something that is worse than God’s love and God’s grace.  The Bible says, “His arm is not short. He can reach out no matter where you are, and He can touch you right there and bring you back to where you need to be.”  The body needs you, the Church needs you. You are a part of this Body. Without you, we are missing a part.

I am going to pray for you in just a second, but would you just think about this?  Would you just think about in your heart, it’s time for you to come back. You think about that.  Can I come back today? Will someone have me? My answer is, “Yes, we will.” Let me pray for you. Lord, I pray right now for every person. I don’t even want to call them prodigals right now because they are on their way home.  Every person that has left and been led away by circumstances and situations. I pray for freedom. I pray for deliverance. I pray for the power to come home. I pray there will be people there with loving arms to receive them. In Jesus’ name. Don’t forget we need you. God bless you.
