Therein lies the key. Learning to go to Him first before we make decisions.

TRANSCRIPTION

Welcome to God Today.  I am Dr. Nasir Siddiki of “WisdomMinistries.org.”  I have a word to share with you about hearing and obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit.  There is a scripture I want to take you to in Romans 8:14, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they will be called the Sons of God.”  My brothers and sisters, listen carefully to what I am going to tell you. It doesn’t say, “As many as are born-again are the Sons of God.” You could be born-again, spirit-filled, tongue-talking, and God never calls you a Son or Daughter.”  What does it say? “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they will be called the Sons of God.” The word “led” is the word “ago” in Greek. It means led, driven, and controlled-by. So, only those who are led, driven, and controlled-by qualify as the Sons of God.

Two verses down it says, “The Holy Spirit testifies with the Children of God.”  This is the word “teknion” which means “little baby” or “little toddler”. But, the son of God is the word “eos”, “mature sonship”.  How do I become a son of God? I’ve got to be led by the Spirit of God. I’ve got to hear His voice, obey His voice, and the voice of a stranger I do not follow.  Jesus said, “My sheep know my voice.”

We’ve got to get out of control and let God control what we think, what we say, and what we do, rather than our flesh control it.  As we are led by the Spirit of God, it may not be a loud voice on the inside, may not be a small, still voice might just be an unction on the inside.  Success, listen to me now, success is easy. It is called making every decision the right one. The problem is, we make decisions and ask God to bless it.  That doesn’t work. How about going to God first, listen to His voice, make the decision He tells you and then it is already blessed.

Therein lies the key.  Learning to go to Him first before we make decisions.  “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they will be called the sons of God.”  That unction, on the inside, will always bring peace. God does not lead with worry, pressure, or stress.  He always leads with peace. Let me pray that you’ll be more sensitive to the Spirit of God. I thank you, Lord, for Your Word.  Your Word never returns void, it always accomplishes what it was set for. Show each and every one of us, Lord, how to develop our spirit so we can hear your voice much, much clearer than we have in the past.  So we can make the right decisions and not decisions based on our mind or our flesh. We know, Lord, when we make decisions led by your Spirit, they are already blessed. Teach us and show us how to do that. We ask this in Jesus’ name.  And everybody said, “Amen.”
