Hi, I’m Roy Fields, with Run With Fire Ministries and this is God Today. You ever ask yourself this question, “What is my ministry?” Now, I hear that all the time. I’ve had so many people come up to me over the years in traveling all over the place and they say, “What is my ministry? I see what your ministry is, what is my ministry?” Well, my friend. I can only refer to the words of Jesus.
When Jesus was talking to Peter He said, “Peter, do you love me?” Peter said, “Yes, Lord”. He said, “Feed my lambs.” “Peter, do you love me?” He said, “Yes, Lord.” He said, “Feed my lambs.” “Peter, do you love me, do you really love me?” “Yes, Lord, you know I love you. He said, “Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.”
When I was ordained in my ministry and I had hands laid on me, I already knew I was called. Some of you say, “What am I called to?” I don’t know! What books are you reading? What tapes are you listening to? Whose ministry meetings are you going to? What excites you when you read the word of God every day? When you pray, what do you feel in your heart? You start to know what you’re called to do. But, what happens is, if you want to know what your ministry really is, here it is. I can define this for every single person on the whole entire earth. Your ministry is to Jesus and to the people.
When I was ordained I heard these words in my spirit, the Lord said this, “Your life no longer belongs to you. It belongs to me and it belongs to my people.” So, what is your ministry? Your ministry is to love Jesus with all your heart, your soul, your mind, your strength. Jesus said, “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” If you love God with all your heart, soul, and strength you’ve already covered the first part of what your ministry is. Secondly, love one another as you love yourself. Minister to God and minister to the people. That’s what your ministry is.
