God took the punishment for you in everything. When you understand that love, it just makes you want to live for Him.

Hello, there. My name is Patricia King and it is my absolute honor to be able to break open to you the word of God and give you a feast of fresh manna today in regards to the love of God. Have you ever been afraid that maybe you are not measuring up to all that you could be in God? Or that you are bound by fear. Fear of what He thinks of you or fear of punishment that might be waiting for you because you feel like you are such a bad person? I want to address that issue today. If you can’t relate to that yourself, there might be some people that you know that do relate to it. You can help. You can share with them the message of God’s love so that they can be free.

What I want to do is read from the Bible out of 1 John 4. I am going to start with verse 16. It says, “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love. The one who abides in love abides in God. God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment because as He is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love. But, perfect love casts out fear. Because fear involves punishment and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.”

Wow. That is just so powerful. When you receive the revelation of how much God loves you, it is life-transforming. You will never be the same again. Because when you understand the love of God, you know that you weren’t brought into His kingdom so that you could be punished, or so that He could beat on you, or tell you how terrible you are. And yet, there are so many Christians today, in churches, or people in false religions who are beaten up by their religiosity because they do not understand the love of God that laid everything out for them so that they could be completely free from all of their sin. There is no punishment, there is no hell, there is no condescending attitude from God towards us. He loves us with an everlasting love. He really, really does. In that love, there is no fear. It says, “We have come to know and have belief.” You can come to know, but do you believe in the innermost part of your being? Do you believe the love? The pure, powerful love that God has for you. There is never a moment when He doesn’t love you. It says, “The one who abides in love, the revelation of that love actually abides in Him.” That’s where you will get a lot of your spiritual encounter. When you are abiding in love. God abides in you, His love abides in you.

It says that there is no fear in love. There is no fear. It says, “but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment.” So, the one who fears is not perfected in love because when you are loved and you know how loved you are, you know that God took the punishment for you in everything. When you understand that love, it just makes you want to live for Him.

From the time that I have been born again, there has never been a time – I have been born again for over 43 years at the time of this taping – and I have never, ever wanted to go back. There is nothing to go back to. When you are loved by God, what else is there? I just want to love Him all of my days. I want to serve Him all of my days. Because He absorbed all of my punishment and gave me all of His goodness. Wow. That’s enough just to stop right now and start to worship Him for that. It says we can love God because He first loved us. We can love others because He first loved us.

In the book of Revelation, there is a letter written to the Church, one of the churches. It said, “Return to your first love.” You know, a lot of times we think, “I have to return to the goosebumps when I first got born again.” Or, “I have to do this, I have to do that.” No. That’s not what it means. It means return to first love, recognizing that He first loved you. When you realize He first loves you, everything in life pours out of that place. Isn’t that beautiful?

I want to pray for you right now, that God will remove any fear that you might be facing. When you’re in fear, it is a religious spirit that is holding you in bondage. But, when you know the love of God, it frees you to serve Him. I don’t serve God because I have to. I don’t serve God because I am afraid if I don’t I will be punished. I serve God, I live for Him because I am in love. I get to because He first loved me.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I just pray for your divine touch and empowerment to feel your child right now. Let your love be so real, so tangible to them, that there will be no fear in them whatsoever. They will be like a little calf let out of a stall. So free knowing that they are perfectly loved and perfectly safe in your love. As they meditate on the way that you first loved them, they can freely love you and freely love others. Not because they have to, but because it just flows out of being loved. Thank you, Father. God bless you, and of course, truly remember that God loves you with an everlasting love. He really does. Go and share that love with someone else.
