Hi, this is Matt Sorger, with Matt Sorger Ministries and you are watching God Today. As a New Testament believer, a New Testament Christian, you are anointed to shift atmospheres. What do I mean by that? I mean, in the world around us, there are all different kinds of atmospheres. There can be a negative atmosphere, a depressive atmosphere, an atmosphere filled with conflict, or anger, or strife, or worry. There are all sorts of atmospheres around us every single day. But what does the Bible say? It says we are in this world, but not of this world. Which means this: you can be in this world, but you carry a different atmosphere. You carry the atmosphere of heaven. You carry the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, you carry the atmosphere of the power of God.
I want to encourage you today. As you are living your life, and as you are interacting with different people, you don’t have to come under the negativity that is around you. You don’t have to come under. Let’s say you are interacting with a person and they are discouraged, they’re depressed. You don’t have to let that depression come over on to you and pull you down. Some people live like that. They feel everything around them and they kind of ebb and flow with everything happening around them. But you can go higher today. The Bible says, as a Christian, you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above all power and principality, far above everything that is even happening around you. Don’t come under, rise above today. Rule from that heavenly place and you are going to find something will happen.
There is an internal atmosphere and there is an external atmosphere. We all have one. What is it that is coming out of our lives? What is it we are giving to others? What is it that is overflowing from us to the world around us? If you want your external atmosphere to change, you have to first change your internal atmosphere. How do you do that? You sow the word of God into yourself. You should be a praiser, you spend time worshipping God, you spend time focusing, you spend time taking your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. Focusing on the glory of God on the power of God, on the love of God, on the faith of God. Get yourself filled up. Even by watching programs like this, or watching programs on GOD TV. Fill yourself up with faith with the word, with God’s presence.
What you cultivate in your internal self, in your internal atmosphere, eventually will overflow from you. This means, you can walk into a negative atmosphere, you don’t have to come under it. You can say, “Hey! I feel it, but I am seated in heavenly places in Christ.” I have got the Kingdom of God on the inside of me. I am going to be the influencer. I am going to release from me what God has put on the inside of me. Rather than being put down by others, I am going to be a lifter. I am going to pull them up to where I am.” That is supernatural, because gravity, in the natural world, pulls things down. But that’s the law of sin and death. That’s not the law you live under. You live under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus which means this: it is supernatural and it is the grace of God and you don’t have to be pulled down. You can pull people up. You can develop the atmosphere of heaven in you, the atmosphere of Christ in you. The atmosphere of the Holy Spirit in you. Which is His nature, His attributes, it is everything who God is. Release that from your life. Be a Kingdom influencer today. Pull people up around you today. When you walk into a room, remember this: God walks in with you. His presence walks in with you. His joy flows from you, His love flows from you, His healing flows from you, His life flows from you. This is Matt Sorger and you are watching God Today.
