Hi, I am Chantell Cooley, co-founder of Columbia Southern University and Chantell Cooley Ministries. Welcome to God Today. I have a great word for you, it is talking about the God of expansion. Jabez, he had a great prayer, it was in 1 Chronicles 4:10 it said, “And Jabez called unto God of Israel saying, ‘Oh that you would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory. Your hand would be with me God, to keep me free from evil that I may not cause pain to others. So God granted me what I requested.’”
Wow. The God of Jabez is our God as well. He can expand your territory. When we were starting our university things were not so good. We had ups and downs. We began to pray this prayer. We needed God to expand our territory. We needed things to multiply. We needed circumstances to come together. I even had my kids at an early age begin to memorize this prayer and today they’re in their early 20s, going to college, and God is absolutely expanding their territory. They are great leaders for Him. I am telling you, the Lord will work in your lives.
There have been many times where we didn’t think we could move forward. We would get ourselves stuck, and our tent pegs were stuck in cement. It was like we couldn’t think big. God really wants to expand you. I want to encourage you today. Think bigger than you are thinking. Get your tent pegs out of that cement. Let your tent pegs go and move forward and God can really do something big. With my family, He moved us forward. He expanded our territory above and beyond what we could ever imagine. Of course, that comes from Ephesians 3:20, “He will do exceeding above what you could ever imagine in any situation that you are in right now.”
I want to pray for you. You may be out there and stuck in a rut. Maybe you are an entrepreneur and you just can’t get things moving forward, lacking some funds, we are going to pray for you right now. Maybe you are in ministry and you just can’t seem to move forward. Your ministry is stuck. We are going to pray success over you. Father, in the name of Jesus, I speak success over men and women, their companies, entrepreneurs, wherever you are at, we command expansion. I break the chains and bondages off of you that hold you back. You can never make it only so far. I speak life into your situation, I speak success upon you, that your gates are open broken in the name of Jesus. You still succeed. You have the mind of Christ and Satan has no power over you.
