Taking Risks With A Leap Of Faith

Sometimes you feel like you are on the edge of a precipice and God is saying, 'I have called you to believe me for great things. Don’t settle for small things. I have called you for a great purpose.'

Hi, I am Cindy Jacobs with God Today. I want to talk to you today about taking risks. You know, sometimes, in order to manifest your faith, you have to take a risk. Faith is like a muscle, you have to use it. There are many times that we have done projects and we feel like we kind of leap out there. We are so excited, God had spoken to us and all of a sudden we go, “Wait a minute! This is going to cost some $200,000, where are we going to get that money?” Or maybe you are even thinking of going on vacation somewhere. Or maybe you are thinking about your kids’ college tuitions. You know, it can be scary when you are about to leap off. and when you are saying, “Okay, we are going to commit, or sign on the dotted line,” for that first house. I want to say to you that what others look at as risk, we can think of as having faith.

Faith brings us to a place where we are manifesting the scripture that says there is nothing impossible to God. I remember one time, we were doing a big conference in San Francisco. We were actually going live over a television network. And we did not have money to put our people in hotel rooms. Our credit cards were maxed out. We didn’t know what we were going to do. And here we were bringing television equipment to San Francisco. So, I was passing out $5 bills to each of the staff. It was just enough money to take the subway from the San Fran airport into San Francisco itself. At midnight. I know, it’s crazy, right?

We were having a prayer meeting, and right in the middle of it, my friend John Kilpatrick called me. And he said, “Cindy, I just feel like you need to come to preach for me.” This was Friday. When I preached for Him, and God spoke to him to raise some money for us, all without me sharing about what we needed. By Monday we had the money to pay off our credit cards, to get into the hotel, and we went and we did the live production. Sometimes you feel like you are on the edge of a precipice and God is saying, “I have called you to believe me for great things. Don’t settle for small things. I have called you for a great purpose.” I am Cindy Jacobs, God bless you.
