Don’t ever forget that Jesus died so we could live.
Tami Lightfoot

Hi, my name is Tami Lightfoot.  I am the co-founder of Victory Health Partners in Mobile, Alabama.  Welcome to God Today. It was 15 years ago, when the Lord had put in my husband’s and my heart that we were going to start this ministry, and we had a year of preparation before we opened up the doors.  In that preparation, we had done a newspaper article and the phone began to ring off the hook. People were calling and asking us questions about this soon-to-be ministry for the hardworking, uninsured.

One of the phone calls I received was from this woman who began to ask me all the questions that most people had been asking me.  All of a sudden, there was this pregnant pause. I said, “Yes, ma’am, is there anything else I could help you with?” She said, “I have one other thing.”  And another pregnant pause. I said, “Yes, ma’am, what is that?” She said, “Seven years ago, my only child passed away.” She said, “Can you help me?”

At that moment I had 6 children and 11 grandchildren.  I thought, “How do I even identify with such a loss?” I told her, I said, “Ma’am, I can’t even begin to put a word on what you must be experiencing.” I said, “There is someone who has done it. ‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son.  Whosoever believeth in Him shall have life.’” I said, “He knows about losing a son.” Don’t ever forget that Jesus died so we could live. Be blessed today.
