We just saw so many people get saved, so many people get delivered, and follow Jesus with all their hearts. It was just incredible.

Hi, I am Lindy-Ann Hopley, founder of Beautiful Witness Ministries, welcome to God Today. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself in a season of drought, and I am so thirsty for the rivers of Living Water that is an offer from heaven. Amen. I want to share this testimony with you and I believe it is going to encourage you, that after listening to this you are going to feel so refreshed in the rivers of Living Water.

I was a young missionary, it was one of my first mission trips. This was around 2007 or 2008 and I went to Zimbabwe. I will never forget it – we were on this big truck with all African pastors and the one pastor always called me Grande Forte. I was so afraid. I didn’t know where we were going, what we were going to do. Is God going to be able to use me? I just loved Jesus and I just said, “Lord, here I am. Send me.” So if there was an opportunity, I would step into it. I remember going on this big truck, on a gravel road. And the next thing I knew, the truck had some type of malfunction. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere. You couldn’t walk to the right because there were still bombs planted in the ground. We don’t have any cell phone connection – nothing. When you are stuck there in the middle of the road, we were on our way to a small village to go preach.

We were standing there, it was getting darker, and darker, and we were like, “Jesus!!!” And then we were praying and all of a sudden, one of the pastors got a signal on his phone and he called someone to come and help us. He spoke to the pastor that was there and said, “Hey, we are stuck. We just wanted to let you know.”

Now we were standing there in the middle of the road and we were waiting, waiting, and I was like, “Well, let’s worship.” I love singing and I started singing, “Let it rain, let it rain…” And all the pastors had their hands up. “Open the floodgates of heaven.” And the next moment as we were singing…boom! There was thunder and lightning in the distance, in the direction in which we were going into. We were like, “Yay! Jesus!” And the next moment, this ambulance drives past and stops. He has his lights up and he stops. And comes next to us and he is like, “Do you guys need help?” We said, “Yes, we are broken down.” And before we knew it, they helped us and got us to the village. And on the way there they got saved, received Bibles from us, and it was just amazing. Such a divine appointment from the Lord.

Now here is the punchline. We got to the village and they are like, “Pastor, Pastor! Welcome, welcome, welcome!” They said, “Did you realize that it rained tonight for the first time in 4 years?” And all of us were like, “What??” And just out of the place of wanting to worship Jesus, just lifting His name up, little did we know that “let it rain” was the word for the season. And as we declared, and decreed, and worshipped the King…”Turn your eyes upon Jesus…”

When you seek first the Kingdom of heaven, the rest is added unto you. There was just an abundance of God’s goodness that was made known into that village. And we just saw so many people get saved, so many people get delivered, and follow Jesus with all their hearts. It was just incredible.

I want to encourage and pray for those people that are watching right now that maybe you are feeling like you are in a season of drought. You are like, “God, let it rain, let it rain into this life, into this heart.” I don’t know what your situation is, maybe it is a family that is broken. Maybe it is your business that has been a crisis. Maybe it is healing that it is needed in your body. Whatever your situation is, I want to encourage you as I pray, just to receive the rivers of Living Water that Jesus wants to pour out.

Father, I thank you, Lord, right now in Jesus’ name. “Let it rain, let it rain…” Bless them, Lord. Open the flood gates of heaven. That every area that feels dry, that feels hopeless in Jesus’ name we release life, rivers of Living Water into their innermost being. Holy Spirit come, touch your children, touch your people. Right now, in the name of Jesus, I speak to hopelessness and despair. I command it to go. In Jesus’ name. And we release the refreshing of the Holy Spirit over you. I hope you were encouraged. God loves you so much. Let Him rain His love into your heart. God bless you. Bye.
