Hi, I am Dave Harvey, the director of Increased Testimony and welcome to God Today. It is time to celebrate, it is time to celebrate your testimonies because when we celebrate our testimonies, God is so good, He wants to do them again.
Revelation 19:10 says this. It says, “The testimony of Jesus Christ is the Spirit of prophecy.” That scripture means that if Jesus has done it once in my life, He wants to do it again in your life. When we share our testimonies, God wants to do them again.
I love how the apostle Paul models this by sharing a testimony and praying for it to happen again. In the Book of Philippians 4, it says this, “I have received everything in full and I have an abundance. I am amply supplied having received.” Paul releases to the Phillipians a testimony of God’s provision and this is what he prays next, he says, “My God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory, in Christ Jesus.” Paul shares a testimony and then prays for it to happen again.
The Lord taught this to my wife and me in a home-group we ran 8 years ago. We just started making declarations as a group and then out of my mouth came “a thousand dollars for everyone.” I couldn’t believe it. As I said that, I felt like, “You can’t say that!” But half of me felt like God had reached down and pulled it out of me. Well, 5 minutes later, on our dining room table, an orange envelope appeared right in the center of it. It had $1,000 cash in it. “To Dave & Taff Harvey” I pulled it out, and we couldn’t believe it. We celebrated it. I said to our group, “Who wants this? Who wants to receive $1,000?” They all put their hands up and we prayed for them.
The next week we couldn’t believe it. Three people had received a $1,000 testimony that week. So, we had them pray over the rest of us. The following week, two more people were given $2,000. And then we had them pray over us. Well, as we stewarded that testimony, and had people share it, and pray for one another, that testimony grew from $1,000 to $10,000 to multiple tens of thousands of dollars, to hundreds of thousands of dollars. And even million-dollar testimonies have happened. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. If He has done it once in your life, He wants to do it again in someone else’s life.
I want you to ask the Holy Spirit right now, “What is a testimony that is in my life, God? That you want to multiply and see happen in other people’s lives around me?” Let’s pray.
Holy Spirit, I thank you that you are the God of increase and multiplication. I pray right now, that you remind everyone of us of a testimony that you want us to celebrate and see multiply in other people’s lives around us. God, pour out abundant blessings today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
