Hey everybody, I’m Ron Cantor, and I’m the regional director for God TV in Israel. Welcome to God Today. I want to share something with you that happened to me a few years ago when I learned that I actually could write my own book of psalms. No, it was not scripture, I am not King David, I am not even David who was running from Saul, I am just Ron. But, I found myself in a situation where I went many months of listening to the lies of the enemy. About what a horrible person I was, about how my future was going to be horrible. He just began to whisper to me daily and I didn’t recognize it was him. I went about 6 months and he was literally beating me down. Until one day I was so discouraged, I was so defeated, I just said, “I don’t know what to do”.
I heard a little voice that said, “You gotta find the truth”. And I was so defeated, friend, that I thought, “I know I need the truth, but where do I find the truth?” And then I remembered very quickly: the Word of God. And I began to read not what I was hearing in my ears or in my soul, what the enemy was whispering about me, but to read God’s promises about me. And I began to write my own book of psalms. I began to make declarations about my life. It wasn’t declarations of riches or illusions of grandeur, it was just about relationship with God. That I’m His son, that he loves me, that he’s forgiven me, that my future is not dependent on me – it’s dependent on Him.
I began to write it out and before I knew it I had 2.5 pages. And those 2.5 pages grew to be 6 pages. And I woke up every morning and I stopped listening to the lies of the enemy and began to read “Ron’s Confession of Faith”. And suddenly, I felt like a superhero, that I had discovered something powerful. That I could read this confession of faith, all based on the Word of God – not my will, but His will. I began to see prayer, after prayer, after prayer answered. God literally turned my life around. I wrote in that confession, “Within one year I will be in Africa with my daughters”. Within one year I was in Africa, preaching the gospel, and all three of my daughters were there. I began to line my life up with God’s will and everything came to pass. So, I want to encourage you, if you’re going through a hard time, to get in the word of God. Write out His promises, begin to confess them every day, that His will would be done in your life.
Father, in the name of Yeshua – Jesus the Messiah – I just bless everyone out there, God, and I break those lies, I break the lies of the enemy and I pray that your will would be done in their lives according to your will as they take hold of that by possessing your promises.
