Hi, my name is Peggy Pohl and I’m part of the GOD TV team and I’d like to welcome you to God Today. I want to talk a little bit about worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth. That’s always been one of my favorite verses in John 4:24 when Jesus is at the well of the Samaritan woman. He asked her to give Him a drink of water and they continue this dialogue and she gets to the point that she says, “Why don’t You give me this living water that You speak of,” because the Lord had told her that He had living water that He could give her. That Scripture held my attention, so I started to meditate on it and ask, “Lord, what is worshiping You in spirit and worshiping you in truth?”
We all know that it goes back to the point that the Lord is the Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. I pondered that for about ninety days and I was writing it out one morning and the Lord started speaking to me about exactly what that was. He said, “Daughter, in order to worship Me in spirit and in truth, that’s when everything about you is removed and the Spirit of the living God that’s on the inside of you starts to worship. There is nothing left of what the enemy has caused you to be, what situations, circumstances, and even choices have called you to be. You allow Me to do a work in you that removes all of that. And then the Spirit of the Lord is poured into you so strongly that it starts to worship Me. That’s worshiping Me in spirit and in truth.”
Then He said, “There’s a song that I’ve placed in you that matches a song that’s on the inside of Me. With that song, we learn to dance. We get into a perfect rhythm where the song in you matches the song in Me. When that happens, we can walk in a walk that the world has not seen. We can walk together and you can do things for My Kingdom that the world doesn’t see right now. That dance is the gifts and callings that God has given you.”
I want you to think about that for a moment because worshiping our Father in spirit and in truth is where the body of Christ needs to go. When we learn to dance with Him, when we learn to walk with Him in the measure that He wants us to walk with Him, just imagine what can take place upon the face of the earth.
So I bless you. Lord, I thank You for speaking to our hearts. I release to everyone that we truly can walk in spirit and in truth, walking with You and dancing with You in the way that You want us to dance. I bless you today and thank you in Jesus’ name.
