Hi everybody, my name is Pam Sibanda. My husband and I are leaders at the Upper Room in Dallas. Welcome to God Today. I want to remind you today about a Scripture in Romans six that says we are instruments of righteousness. When I think about an instrument, I think of something that is completely subject to the player. So look at your life as an instrument and you are not responsible for what keys you play. I think about the piano. I think of those instruments. They just sit there, the keys sit there, and wait for the player to begin to hit each note of each key.
When we look at our lives, we don’t have to worry and carry the burden of “What do I do next? What am I supposed to do?” We just offer our lives as instruments of righteousness and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, to guide us, and to play the high notes and the low notes of our lives. We just get to sit there and let Him do that.
I want to relieve you from the pressure of feeling like you’re carrying so much direction. What do I do with my children? What do I do with my marriage? What do I do with my job situation? Or your health and everything that may be concerning you today. I want to encourage you to lay your life as an instrument before the Lord and say, “Lord, I want You to play my life and produce the melodies that You want to hear for my life.”
I want to bless you with that. Father, I pray for everyone who’s viewing this and I just ask, God, may they just surrender every part of their life and say,” Lord, play the melodies of my life through Your keys, through Your perspective, through whatever You design me to be.” Father, we relinquish our power and our self-image and we say, “God, we want to let You use us.” So I bless you. I want to remind you again that you are an instrument of righteousness and allow God to play music through your life.
