The Lord began to deliver me, and show me the most beautiful thing, which was, 'You are my daughter.'

Hi, I am Jenny Weaver from Jenny Weaver Worships and welcome to God Today.  Today I want to talk to you about an interesting title. It is called “I am my daughter, my daughter is me”.  I want to share with you a little bit about what that means to me.

I grew up in a really dysfunctional, unhealthy lifestyle.  I had a lot of fighting, a lot of abuse in my family. There was, at moments, where we were hugging and being told we were loved.  But, there as a lot of abuse, there was a lot of neglect. We lived in severe poverty, we didn’t eat dinner. The only food I really got was when I went to school and had lunch.

When I was growing up, I thought, “This is just going to be my life.”  I had dreams and imagined, “One day I am going to have a family.” But, the enemy came in and ripped those dreams away and I got severely depressed.  You know, as the Lord began to deliver me, and show me the most beautiful thing, which was, “You are my daughter.” When the Lord began to give me that revelation, that I am actually Jesus’ daughter, when He said to me when I was crying on my floor, and crying out to Him.  When He said to me, “Jennifer,” He doesn’t call me Jenny, He said, “Jennifer, I love you.” He revealed that to me. It hit my Spirit in such a way – I have never been the same.

“I am a daughter, my daughter is me.”  I am looking at my daughter now, who has never seen poverty.  She has never seen neglect. She has never known what it is like to love in a family that abuses her.  If you are on here today, you are watching and going, “I need somebody to give me hope for my family. Need somebody to give me hope for my future.”  Let me encourage you with the Word of God. The Bible says that God “knows the plans for you. Plans to prosper and not to harm you.” Jesus will not harm you.  He will not leave you and will not forsake you. My daughter will grow up and know love all the days of her life. I thank God that He let me walk through that test so that I could have a testimony today.  So that I can share that with you.

Whatever you are going through in your family, I want you to be able to hope again, begin to dream again, begin to let faith arise. It may look that way now, but it is not going to stay that way.  I am a walking, living, breathing testimony that if God did it for me, He will do it for you. He will do it for your family. You are called to be a son of God. You are called to be a daughter of God. I am a daughter, my daughter is me.

I am Jenny Weaver and this is God Today.
