Hi, I’m Kelsey Morris with Together in the Harvest Ministries, and you’re watching God Today. I want to talk to you about something that’s really close to me. It’s about believing again – believing again in God and in miracles. To be really open with you, I lost my dad to cancer and for years, I mean, for six years, I saw amazing men of faith. I mean, if I told you all the people that prayed over my dad and contended over my dad, you would know them all. All these people that have seen huge miracles in their meetings, been in massive crusades, and seen hundreds go up to the altars saying they’ve been healed, they’ve been delivered, all these things. But when it came to praying for my own dad, I didn’t see his healing.

I saw people pray over handkerchiefs and put it in his hospital bed. I saw people down at his feet, weeping and wailing, contending. We had prayer meetings every single night over my dad’s healing. And I never saw him healed. I never saw him healed of that cancer. So I’m talking to you today. Maybe you lost a family member to cancer or to some other disease, or maybe you’ve seen something. Maybe you lost your house. Maybe you lost your job. Maybe you’re going through something so horrifying, something that’s been so crippling to your faith, and you’ve said, “God, I don’t know if I can believe again. I don’t know if I can believe that You’re a God of miracles if I haven’t seen it in my own life.” In John 11, it says this. Now, this is the story of Lazarus. We’ve all heard it. Lazarus dies, but this is the point I want you to hear. And this is when the Lord comes. He finally comes after hearing it several days earlier, and Martha runs to Him and she said to Jesus, “If You had been here, my brother would not have died.” But listen to what she says next.

“But I know that even now, God will give You whatever you ask.” So I’m saying to you today, Martha lost her brother, but she said, “Even now I know that God will give You what you ask.” See, she still had faith, even though her brother was dead. So I’m saying to you today, maybe things have died in your life. Maybe you’ve gone through something so horrifying, so horrible in your life. And you feel like, “I don’t know if I can believe again.”

Let’s learn from Martha. I’m learning just like you – I’m learning with you to believe again for miracles. Let me pray with you today. Lord, I pray that You touch their life. Jesus, whatever they’re going through, maybe they’ve gone through something so horrible and so heartbreaking, Lord, I pray that You touch them and You show them that they can believe again. Lord, help us to believe again in You – believe in the God of miracles. In Your holy, precious name. Amen.
