Hey, this is Deborah Manchac with Relentless Woman and welcome to God Today. I want to share a verse with you today that’s really special to my heart, and I want to also tell you how it’s special in my life. So it is Romans 8:26. It says, “And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray or know the best things to ask for, but the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs, too deep for words.”
I love it, especially in this translation, because it really does speak my heart in a season where I did not have words sometimes in telling God how I was feeling, or what to even pray, or how to even approach Him. This was the time that I was severely depressed and high anxiety. I didn’t have a lot of things going for me at that time, and I didn’t know how to approach God at this point. How do I pray when I’m in such a dark place? How do I ask Him when I don’t even know what to ask for and to read this and say that the Holy Spirit, a gift from God is not just a gift, but a friend that even at that time, the Holy Spirit is such an intimate friend that He knows exactly what you need more than you know, which is so amazing. Especially in such a time where if you’re in a dark time or a confusing time, or in a crossroads of a time where you’re like, well, I know if I pray, God can help me, but I don’t even know what to pray. And there’s the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is here. He rises up, it says, “within us to super intercede,” it’s like a super power that we have that we can tap into.
And so it’s almost like in our weakness, He gets to be empowered. So we get to use our super power in our weakness. So no matter what, we’re always going to be empowered, and this is super special. So Lord, I just pray this, God for the person that is watching this video; you, I believe in Jesus name that if you’re in this time right now where you don’t even know what to pray, you don’t even know what to ask, or you don’t know which way to go. You don’t know what to read in the word. I pray that the Holy Spirit shows up just as real as you see me right here, shows up in your life and intercedes and speaks for you like that best friend that knows exactly what you need, and lifts you up in time of need. In Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
