Hi, I’m Felipe Hasegawa with the GOD TV team. Welcome to God Today. We hope you’re experiencing growth in your walk with the Lord through this program. And I want to talk to you about why we value community, why you should value community, why I value community. Number one, the heart, the human heart. God created us to experience family. He never created men or women to be alone, to be isolated, to be out of relationship.
You know, the reason, one of the scriptures, I have a personality that is very isolation propensed, if you will. I, if I don’t take care of being intentional and connecting with people, I can go days if not weeks, without talking to anybody in person. Especially today with remote jobs and technology. We live in circumstances that if you’re not intentional about connecting with people, being friends with them, being with family, you can end up going without. But, the word says in Psalm 133, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes.” You know, this is a very, very important concept, because isolation does not allow you to produce the fruit of the Spirit. You know, think about it. The fruit of the Spirit is joy, peace, love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Many of these things you cannot manifest if you’re living isolated from the world. When you are in community, you have to express love. You have to express kindness and gentleness and for you to control yourself. Of course, you have to do these things when you’re alone, no doubt about that, but God created humanity in such a way that we must be interconnected.
I encourage you today to value your relationships, value your family, make them a priority, have time with them. And I want to pray for you, if you’re experiencing any sort of stress or hurt or pain that the Lord will visit you today. Father, I pray for my friend that whatever circumstances they have going on in their relationships, that they will, number one, understand the value of being connected in the community, in a family, in relationships. Number two, that if they’re having issues within that context, that you will give them the understanding on how to bring those relationships into a peaceful place. I bless them to grow in community in the Name of Jesus.
