Hi, my name is Bethany Hicks and I’m with Prophetic Company, and welcome to God Today. I want to talk to you today about God’s good thoughts towards you. One of my favorite passages is found in Psalms 139:17, and it says this, that God’s good thoughts towards us are as numerous as the sands of the seashore.
Now imagine this, how many sands of the sea of the earth are there? Well, we actually Googled to see, and there’s about two quintillion sands estimated on the earth. Now what we did is we took that number and we divided it by the amount of people that are currently living on the earth, which is about 7 billion people. I know I’m giving you a little math here, but stick with me here. So we divided that two quintillion by 7 billion people. There is a little over 1 billion grains of sand. Okay, let’s go back to our passage in Psalms 139. At the very minimum, God’s good thoughts towards you are billions and billions. Like you couldn’t even experience every single good thought that God has for you in this lifetime.
You know, I love this about the Lord. It’s like the prophetic really releases the good thoughts of God toward His sons and His daughters. Joel 2:28 says this, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh so that every son and daughter can prophesy. We understand as well in first Corinthians 14:1, to eagerly desire, spiritual gifts, especially that you might prophesy. Why prophecy? Because prophecy reveals God’s good thoughts towards His sons and daughters. Prophecy is the conduit to reveal the heart of God, the mind of God, the thoughts to another person. That is so powerful. Come on.
If you’ve ever experienced a prophetic word where you are feeling seen and known and loved by God, you are understanding that His good thoughts are so much higher than yours could ever be about yourself. How can we not embrace what prophecy is? And so I want to encourage you today that God is thinking great thoughts of you. It’s extravagant, it’s above and beyond, beyond you could ask, think or imagine. So I want to encourage you today to take a walk down the beach, to take a walk down the beach and look at the sands of the seashore and recognize that every single grain speaks to the brilliant, great thoughts that God has for you.
Father, I thank You that You are a good God. Father, I thank you that Your ability to think good things about Your sons and daughters knows no end. There’s no limit. We will experience a lifetime of knowing all the thoughts that You have for us, God. And I pray that every person watching right now would have a revelation of Your goodness towards them and for them Lord, that would absolutely be transforming in their life. We thank you, God, that Your thoughts are as numerous as the sands of the seashore. And we love You in Jesus’ name, Amen.
