Welcome to God Today. I’m Bob Mazeroski with my wife Tracy. We pastor New Life Church in Weirton West Virginia. I want to encourage you today with just the power of God’s Word. Like the Bible says, there’s a story of a man named Eleazar whose name literally means ‘God helps us’ and that’s powerful to be reminded of today. God helps us no matter the situation.
But he won a major victory for God, for his King David, by refusing to let go of his sword. And the Bible tells us in the New Testament that God’s Word is a double-edged sword. And that phrase ‘double-edged’ literally means ‘double mouthed.’ How is it a double-mouthed sword? Well it’s one mouth when God speaks it into you through His Word or through a message, or through something like today, but it becomes a double-mouthed sword when you speak it back out of your mouth.
It’s one thing to have the Word in you, but it’s another thing to loose that Word into the atmosphere around you. So today, as you go through your day, speak God’s Word out of your mouth and into the atmosphere. It has power to change situations and to create life out of dead opportunities, and to renounce things of the enemy. There’s power in God’s Word.
So honey, would you pray that they would do that? I just thank you Lord. I just ask you to give them the words, Lord to speak from your scripture, Lord, into every situation, every dry place. And Lord God, I pray right now that as they speak your Word that is alive and well, into their situation, there will be divine reversals in circumstances today. Bless them, keep them, and let them be people of the word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
