Hi, I’m Kristene DiMarco with Bethel Music. Welcome to God Today. When you are going through a dry season or a hard season, sometimes it is very hard to motivate yourself, because sometimes hope seems like the furthest thing away. It is really important in those times to remember what God has done in the past. And to believe that He is who He says He is, no matter what.
One of my favorite writers said, “I will not lower my theology of God to match my pain.” I think that is a really important thing, that the Bible stays the same no matter what we are going through. It is the Truth we physically have to hold onto through whatever may come in life. That I am not guaranteed certain circumstances, but I am guaranteed that Jesus Christ and the power that is in His Holy Spirit. The way I motivate myself is to remember and to look not just to my circumstances, but to who God is. To continue to move forward with the power of the Holy Spirit. He is who He says He is. He will always be who He says He is. I want to encourage you today to just hold on to hope. Watch your triumph unfold.
I am going to pray for you. God, I pray for everyone who is here and watching this today. I pray that hope, they would be able to hope another day. Whatever they are going through, whatever process it is, however hard it is, God. We don’t compare ourselves today. But, we look to you, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. You are good. You always will be good. We thank you for who you are. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
